The mechanical engineering industry wants to go digital – and it wants to do it now
With a successful Hannover Messe, mosaixx has reached the next important milestone on its roadmap. The overarching goal of the presentation at the AWS partner stand was to increase the visibility of the company and its cloud platform within the industry.
In the run-up to the important automatica trade fair in Munich at the end of June, the presentation to an international audience of experts was another decisive step that the mosaixx team successfully mastered – and gained important insights into the current situation in the mechanical engineering industry.
Another finding: despite the shadow cast by US customs policy and the possible consequences for the international market, the mood among the approximately 127,000 visitors from all over the world was nevertheless characterised by optimism and a hands-on mentality. In lively discussions with partners, manufacturers of machinery and companies, it became very clear that the industry is determined to push ahead with digitalisation and to focus on new technologies in production and internal processes.
The fact that big visions are now giving way to pragmatic implementation is certainly also due to the pressure to act that many mechanical engineers are feeling in the market. For most companies, ‘business as usual’ is not an option. This development also underscores the path taken by mosaixx and the relevance of a fully digitalised value chain in mechanical engineering.
Another conclusion from the Hannover Messe is the industry’s interest in the mosaixx cloud platform with its offering of end-to-end process digitalisation and the consolidation of data and project participants. Mechanical engineering needs new impetus and innovation – and it needs it now. mosaixx is working intensively on this with its growing ecosystem, which was fully represented by its existing integrated partners Visual Components, Autodesk and Dassault Systèmes. Other companies with which mosaixx is in close contact and which will enrich the ecosystem in the future were also present at the fair.
‘We came away from the Hannover Messe with many in-depth discussions, important insights, a good exchange within the industry and the certainty that mosaixx is on the right track,’ sums up Andreas Frank, Business Unit Lead at mosaixx. ’Industry and mechanical engineering want to digitalise. This spirit of optimism allows us to look to the future with confidence.’
